How is this different from a steam inhaler?

Unlike steam inhalers, Respyr uses dry heat — no water, no mess, no risk of burns. It delivers targeted thermal airflow directly to your nasal passages for a cleaner, more comfortable experience.

How long is each session?

Twenty minutes and it takes care of itself. Press the button, settle in, and Respyr runs a full session, then shuts off automatically when it's done. No timers to set, nothing to watch. It's an easy 20 minutes you can fold into winding down at night, a quiet morning, or any moment you want to breathe easier.

How do I clean it?

Easy — that's the whole idea. Respyr is a self-contained, dry-heat system, so there's no water, no residue, and no soaking involved. Just wipe the mask down with a soft, slightly damp cloth as needed and let it air-dry fully before your next session.

Is it safe for daily use?

Yes — Respyr is designed for everyday use. For most people, 2–3 sessions a week is a great rhythm, and daily is perfectly fine if that's what feels good for you. It's drug-free and uses gentle dry heat, so there's nothing to build up a tolerance to. Always follow the included instructions, don't use it while sleeping, and if you have a chronic respiratory condition, check with your healthcare provider before starting.

Is it safe for kids?

The mask's battery is UL tested, and its materials are free of off-gassing, so there are no electrical or chemical safety concerns. That said, Respyr is designed and sized for adults. If you're considering it for a teen or a child with sinus or congestion issues, we'd recommend checking with your pediatrician first.

Does it matter if I breathe through my nose or mouth?

We recommend breathing through your nose during your Respyr session. Nasal breathing lets the warm air pass directly through your nasal passages, which is where you'll feel the most benefit. Mouth breathing bypasses that pathway, so you may not get the full effect of the session.

If nasal breathing feels difficult at first, that's normal — give it a few sessions, and it should start to feel more natural.

Do I have to use a filter?

No. A filter is not required to use your Respyr Mask, but we recommend using one. Respyr HEPA filters add an extra layer of filtration to the air you breathe through the mask and are designed to complement your daily Respyr experience.

For the best overall experience, use your Respyr Mask with a Respyr HEPA filter and replace the filter about once a month, or sooner if breathing through it becomes difficult.

FAQs

When will I feel a difference?

Everyone's different. Many people enjoy a soothing, easier-breathing feeling during and right after a session, while for others it's something that settles in with regular use over time. The best approach is to make it a consistent part of your routine — a few sessions a week — and notice what feels good for you.

What's included in the box / what do I get?

Each box contains a mask, heating module, head strap, charging cable and a quick-start guide to get you going in seconds.

Is it covered by FSA/HSA?

Yes — Respyr is FSA/HSA eligible, so you can use those pre-tax dollars toward it. At checkout, just use your FSA/HSA card like any other payment method, or keep your receipt for reimbursement.

What's your return policy?

We accept returns of unopened, unused products within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original packaging with all seals intact. Because our products come into contact with the nose and face, we can't accept returns of items that have been opened or used, except in the case of a defect covered by our warranty.

A quick tip: most people need a few sessions to get a feel for how Respyr works for them. We'd encourage you to give it a handful of uses, rather than judging it from the first try.
